Choosing the right training program is an important part of your flight training. Great Lakes Air Ventures offers training under FAR Part 61 and FAR Part 141. Each training program has their benefits and if you can't make up your mind about which is better for you, one of our flight instructors can help you decide during your discovery flight!

FAR PART 61
Training under FAR part 61 is driven by the student and their availability. Typically these students are not trying to be professional pilots, but are pursuing their dream of flying!
FAR PART 141
FAR PART 141
Training under FAR part 141 is more regimented than FAR part 61. The training program is designed to help students quickly gain qualifications and skills to help them become professional pilots quicker.
